New Reflex Features

This week Reflex subscribers gained access to several new features!

Administrators (and teachers with student account creation privileges) can now upload students into Reflex via spreadsheet (.CSV file). The upload process is simple and there are step-by-step directions to make the process quick and easy.

Reflex Admin Guide ButtonAdministrators also now have a Reflex Administrator's User Guide which is a concise, easy to read document for navigating features of the site administrator account. This guide walks you through creating teacher and student accounts and using all of the powerful reports in Reflex. This guide can be found at the bottom of the Administrator Dashboard, or by clicking on 'Home' from any screen when logged into Reflex.

For students, we have expanded the library of images which can be uncovered in Coach Penny's Picture Puzzle, making it even more fun to guess the hidden picture as they practice their new target facts.

Additionally, students are now alerted when they have earned the maximum number of tokens for the day. At that point, they can either decide to log off and come back tomorrow (frequent, shorter Reflex sessions are more effective than infrequent, longer sessions) or they can just keep playing for fun.

More Science Gizmos Updated

We have been working hard at updating the curriculum materials for all of the science Gizmos, and the job is nearly complete! These updates ensure that each Gizmo has a Student Exploration Sheet, Answer Key, Teacher Guide, and Vocabulary Sheet.

Advanced Circuits GizmoRecently, we completed updates to Lesson Materials for five more Gizmos: Advanced Circuits, Magnetic Induction, Pith Ball Lab, Coulomb Force (Static), and Dye Elimination.

This leaves only seven Science Gizmos remaining in this curriculum materials updating project! In addition to these updated materials, keep an eye out for contributions from other educators in the "User Lesson Materials" section of each Gizmo. You can share your own lesson materials by clicking on the "Contribute Lesson Materials" button on any Gizmo's description page.

Gizmo Lesson Materials, recommendations, and Shared Class Gizmo Lists are available to ExploreLearning subscribers and free trial users, based on "What I Teach" settings. They are customized just for your teaching! Watch the Community Features Overview for more information. You can learn more about ExploreLearning and Teaching with Gizmos in our Video Library as well.
